About “Abby”
Ariana R. Cherry-Shearer is a published poet and freelance writer residing in the midwestern part of the United States. She began writing as a child at the age of 9, and has continued to write ever since. Her writing endeavors began with storytelling to her fourth grade class, and later developed into beautiful poetry that she likes to share with family and friends today. Ariana’s poetry is inspirational, and sometimes humorous as well. In 2004, Ariana released her first collection of poems in paperback titled, “The Real Me-Xtended.” Two years later, in 2006, Ariana released her second collected titled, “ Through Her Eyes .” Ariana designed both covers for her collections of poetry. Ariana is currently working on her third collection.
Also in her free time, Ariana enjoys writing web content and articles. Ariana writes news articles, travel articles, reviews, entertainment, and anything else on her mind. She currently writes for websites such as Associated Content and Ehow.com. Ariana is also a budding jewelry designer who designs her own line of jewelry. See her jewelry at www.sentimentaljewelrycreations.com
In 2004, Ariana developed the Hometown Poetry Club for her area. They have around 11 active members, and read at the local nursing home, have monthly meetings, and play fun word games in the winter. In the summer, they enjoy cookouts and other outings as well. This is a very fine group of talented writers, and they continue to strive to bring poetry and joy to others lives. They have formed a poetry contest for young children, and hope to publish a book featuring all of their poetry in it sometime soon as well. Ariana publishes a monthly newsletter for her club as well.
Ariana enjoys giving advice and doing her best to help others…. She enjoys writing how to articles at Ehow.com and offering the knowledge that she has. As the saying goes….“Knowledge is power.”

I write poetry too but haven’t published any yet. I would love to buy a signed copy of your poetry! Is that possible?
A fellow traveler through the realm of Words..
I love your bio. I seriously have to update mine.
I published my first fiction novel earlier this year.
I believe it’s totally true that a lot of the battle of becoming a writer is finishing what you start.
